To optimize the packaging of its cans, the company has made an innovative and sustainable choice: relying on a used and refurbished Smipack packaging machine. This decision highlights a careful approach to efficiency and the environment, in line with the values of a company that produces pure alpine water.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What is a used Smipack packaging machine and when it is convenient to use it<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A used Smipack packaging machine is a packing system that groups products\u2014 in this case, water cans\u2014using a cardboard pad and shrink film. Choosing refurbished equipment offers several benefits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Fast delivery times:<\/strong> Since it is already available, the machine only requires adjustments, significantly reducing waiting times.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Customization:<\/strong> The machine can be technically adapted to meet specific space, production, or environmental needs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lower environmental impact:<\/strong> Extending the useful life of machinery fits perfectly into the concept of circular economy, reducing waste and scrap.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>The Smipack Project for Acqua Vigezzo<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Acqua Vigezzo\u2019s request was precise: to package 24-can bundles with pad and film, with contained performance and compact dimensions. The selected solution was a Smipack XP 650 ARX-T shrink wrapper. This machine, refurbished for the occasion, is ideal for packaging products in tray + film.<\/p>\n<p>The process involves inserting a cardboard die-cut under the product. Then, the product is sealed through a wrapping and film-overlapping process on the underside. An integrated shrink tunnel with forced circulation of hot air ensures that the film adheres perfectly to the pack, sealing it also on the sides.<\/p>\n<p>The XP series of automatic monoblock film-launch shrink wrappers offers advantages such as using a single film reel and the ability to work with centered printed film, increasing production capacity up to 25 packs\/minute.<\/p>\n<p>In the three months following the order, the machine underwent a complete refurbishment process: disassembly, inspection and replacement of worn parts, mechanical overhauls, and updates.
